First Semester {4 weeks}
How to Study the Bible

 

Homiletics - Learn a technique to analyze and understand a Bible passage even more deeply.


Bible Navigation - Learn to navigate the Bible and use its resources. If you are an experienced Bible student, you will learn how you can shepherd others into God's Word.


Leading a Small Group - Gain personal and practical leadership skills. Practice leading using the Bible study method that can be used anywhere, anytime in leading others.


Sharing the Gospel - Grasp the basic truths of the Gospel and build your confidence as you practice sharing it and pray for opportunities to share it with others.


How to navigate /Study
1) Background -: Who is the author? Why was it written? Learn the historical background, dates, key people and so on.
2) Questions and Answers - Write down some questions you have about the passage, or unfamiliar or confusing terms that you come across.
3) Cross References - Make a note of any similar or related passages that come to mind while you’re reading, paraphrasing, and asking questions about the passage. Consult a concordance, other study guides, or footnotes to collect related passages you may not have thought of.
4) Topical – Study by topic
5) Chronological – Study when in the Chronology it was said
6) Title and Summarize - After completing this verse-by-verse analysis of the chapter, assign it a title and identify a key verse or verses.


Second Semester {4 weeks}
How to Teach


Theme- Outlining the Scripture in a clear and logical way.


"Exegesis" is decerning from the passage the principles and ideas that are represented there.




Graduation requirements: To successfully obtain a certificate, with Seal student must complete each of the following steps
1. Oral Board (test)
2. Bring a guest in 6th week
3. Set up a small group of your own after course of study is complete
4. Graduate their own group.
